Radon Mitigation in Minburn, Iowa
Julie was very nice and just moved into the house with her family a month ago. Levels of 4.0 so want to address radon for health concerns, but more concerned with indoor air quality. Family has allergies, asthma, and one has a weakened immune system. Upon inspection it was a modular house placed on poured foundation basement and wood floor joists. The agreed installation type was a sub slab extraction point along back wall in the middle, exit home through rim joist near AC unit and route up and around soffit. The team did educate the customer that the humidity was high and there was a dehumidifier in basement, so we discussed Sanidry Sedona, and she plans to do this in the future. They will be doing an addition later this spring and knocking outside wall and extending house and basement about 20' and will later finish basement. It was also very cold in the basement and there wasn't any insulation. She gave her dates when the techs would come back to have another round of inspection regarding the proper ventilation of her home.

Will a Radon Mitigation System Appraise My Home's Value?
This client is preparing to sell their home, knew that high radon levels could attract potential buyers as per recent real estate articles. He knew he had radon but only made the decision today as it helps a property's image to be sold. He also had a home inspection, which advised the same thing. He requested a simple system since his home had an inaccessible crawlspace to begin with. The team installed the system on each side of the block wall in the basement, connected together to go out the patio. It has been proven that a radon mitigation system increases the home's value and attracting more offers.

Trusted Choice for Future-Proof Radon Protection
Sometimes the simplest installs carry the biggest potential. This radon mitigation system is a straightforward up-and-out design, with a soffit penetration as requested. While we weren’t the lowest bid, the homeowner chose us for our reputation, professionalism, and long-term value—something her family appreciated during a sensitive time. With the home currently in a trust and the basement potentially being finished in the future, the extraction point was strategically placed near the HVAC system. This offers flexibility in case the basement is ever divided into separate rooms.
We’re hopeful this project opens the door to helping more family members stay protected with professional radon mitigation.

This is a two-point system one point will be exiting via the sump pit in waterproof storage room and a second point will be connected to this into the adjacent bedroom. The sump will need to be sealed and the team recommended taking a look at the second sump that they have. It was checked and sealed up perfectly fine and didn't need to do anything else with it. Homeowner was also looking into an ERV option but is currently out of the budget and also with doing some additional research on our free DC filter might be worth it than paying extra. The installation went well.
