This home is an old ranch farm house with radon levels of 12 in basement and 6 upstairs above the crawlspace. It also has a two-chamber basement with a large dirt crawlspace, and an old garage that is being renovated as an extended living room area. The client was a referral from a friend who had an installation with us and they were really happy so they spread the word! The client also added a Breathe EZ for extra protection along with a crawlspace encapsulation.

Single-Point Radon Mitigation with Floor Sealing for Basement Under Renovation

This homeowner is in the early stages of refinishing their basement and wanted to get ahead of potential radon exposure symptoms. A single-point radon mitigation system was installed in the corner of the basement, with the pipe exiting just above the cinder block wall, which rises about halfway up. Cracks in the basement floor were sealed as requested to help with radon reduction, though gaps in various sections of the cinder block foundation prevented us from offering a full warranty. The homeowner plans to finish sealing those areas with spray foam and continue renovations. While results may vary due to the open gaps, the system is expected to significantly reduce radon levels and provide a strong first layer of protection.
