Radon Mitigation - Cedar Falls, IA

It was a duplex home that needed help with radon mitigation. The home tested for radon and returned with high levels. Client was eager to mitigate since he is really worried for his family especially with the kids. The team has drafted a one point system stack next to the washer and dryer in the home's basement behind the bathroom wall and then it will be up and out the home near the air conditioning -- just how the client pictures it. Everything went well!

Custom Radon Mitigation for Older Homes with Limited Crawlspace Access

After years of home additions and changes, a couple decided it was time to address radon concerns and improve comfort where they sleep. Access to parts of the basement was limited, but a plan was crafted to make the most of the available entry points. A radon extraction point was installed through a storm door addition, and a second point was cored through a basement wall to reach a crawlspace beneath the master bedroom. Extra insulation was added to the rim joists in this area, helping to create a warmer, healthier environment where they spent much of their time. Despite the home’s complex layout and hidden crawlspaces, the custom mitigation solution provided peace of mind and noticeable improvements in air quality.

Radon Mitigation - Gladbrook, IA

This client was very detailed how he would like the radon to be exiting his home - he wants to it near the generator to not have to look at anything. It would be a 4 point system as discussed and we did make a promise we would deliver. It's a pretty odd layout but Rusty the team lead made it work! We did educate the client he needs a higher suction fan to make sure we have enough pull for the system. The client agreed and was given briefing before the installation started. He was happy how it turned out!

Radon Mitigation - Gilman, IA

This was originally designed as a 1 point system before the radon test results came back. The results shown levels of 20-21 from a post short term test. The customer called and asked what they should do so we added an additional extraction point to their project. It’ll be in the same room and still same system designed but Rusty, our Lead Technician will need to make a judgement call on where to put the second point in - reason why we recommend radon professionals for this. The client's husband was just diagnosed with lung cancer so they’re especially sensitive to this and every detail.

Radon Mitigation - Pella, IA

This couple were genuinely nice. The husband used to farm and then worked in IT. They have an acreage and had been concerned with radon for a long time as they believe his mom died from radon lung cancer. He installed a mitigation system himself back in the late 80s at this house, but he is not that confident if it was effective. The fan is in the basement ceiling and vents right outside the basement door about 7' above the concrete. He said the fans still run. It draws from the sump pit which also has plumbing and line and something else that lead to it. Sealed up and not accessible. The team had some discussions with the husband about options to utilize for a new extraction point if that's possible instead of near footing in that room. Two chambers, there's a large addition that is finished upstairs with a workshop below with a garage door. The installation turned out fine and he was happy that he spoke to a radon professional!
